1.  I have thick hair that needs tamed. I've been using flat irons for years and have an arsenal in my bathroom cupboard that I use depending on my hair length and needs at that time. I was pretty excited to try out this Panasonic EH-HS95. The mention of a circulating system which absorbs moisture from the hair and turns it into what Panasonic calls "nanoe ions" and then places them back into the hair sounds like a pretty interesting idea. While I'm using this flat iron, I can indeed hear something that sounds like a little buzzing going on. Maybe the little motor inside that absorbs the hair moisture?

2 This product was tested by three girls. One with straight thick hair, one with wavy normal hair, and one with very curly thick hair. They have collective used a vast number of flat irons ranging in price from $39 to $200 including HSI PROFESSIONAL 1 CERAMIC TOURMALINE IONIC FLAT IRON HAIR STRAIGHTENER FREE GLOVE + POUCH AND travel size Argan Oil Leave In Hair Treatment. The verdict from everyone in our house is that the Panasonic is the best by far, even if not the hottest.

The EH-HS95-K comes packaged very well. Unfortunately, the included directions leave a lot to be desired compared to other brands we have used. The build quality of this product is among the best we have used to date. It appears and feels as if it is a precision mechanical instrument. The iron is well designed and thought out. The heavy duty electrical cord is anchored to the iron via a 360 degree rotating connection to prevent tangling. The size and weight of the unit is on par with most of the other irons that came through our house except that this product is a little wider than some. The temperature readout panel is among the best we have used, without making the unit look like an avionics instrument of useless information

3.   I was excited to try this flat iron on my thick, wavy, medium-long hair. I flat iron my hair daily and use a professional flat-iron (expensive) purchased from Sephora. I have a lot of hair and like it all to go in the same direction and look professional and quick. I hate spending more time than I have to on my hair in the morning. Unfortunately, even on the hottest setting, this iron did not even straighten my hair. I had to go over the same piece of hair 3-4 times for it to look remotely like I like it. I stuck it through and ironed all my hair, but it took almost 40 minutes and the results weren't great. This is too much time and money to spend for sub-par results.
