1.  These have been very popular lately and I have wanted one since I first laid my eyes on it. I typically use a flat iron and thought this would be so much easier to use. A couple of things I first noticed is the manual needs a major over haul, the language was not written well and some important wording is missing. Another thing I noticed is that there aren't very good warnings located in the manual or on the product itself. The back of the paddle gets very hot, although this has an auto shut off no way would I want it to be on for that long, also there is a potential one can get burned if not careful. I do have fairly thick hair so I did small sections at a time, I found that using a hairbrush with it worked better, maybe if someone else did my hair it would be unnecessary. The temperature settings are in Celsius, and I used the hottest setting, 220° C, equivalent to 428° F. I'm not sure how well this would work on more coarse hair, I would say my hair is a medium coarseness, it's not typically flyaway or silky smooth. Overall, it took me about 20 minutes or so after combing through my hair first to do the actual straightening process. I am ok with the results but prefer my flat iron still. Maybe over time that will change but I find it a bit easier to use than this. The price is definitely worth giving it a try but please, be careful when using so you do not get burned. 2. This brush is great! I was skeptical of how well it would work but it really makes my mornings easy. It has a simple on/off button and the option to set the temperature to work for your hair type. It heats up fast and is ready to use quickly. I have thin curly hair. I usually wash, dry and flat iron it every day. My hair is always frizzy after blow drying so I need the heat to straighten it out. I can see myself using this brush for a long time. I received this for free to give my honest unbiased review.

3.  I use a flat iron about 2x a week on average. I was hoping for something that made it quicker to get my hair straight in a brief amount of time. This brush heats up quick enough. It goes to a very high temp of 450! The temperature will fluctuate as you are using the brush. It does maintain about 350 constantly though. I had to brush my hair for about 4-5 minutes to get it as straight as the pictures are. It is not too big, bulky or heavy to use with repetition. I wish the buttons were on the other side though. I kept tapping them while I was using the brush. It was okay to touch, even while in use. This was very important to me as a mother with toddlers. I tested it and did not get burned. It has the soft rubber numbs. Covering the brush tips. These help the brush glide through your hair without tangling it, and so that you won't get burnt if you accidentally touch the brush tips. When you turn the brush on you need to hold it down for a few seconds. This was another safety feature I liked. The cord itself wraps up easily for storage. A piece of Velcro is attached to the cord to help secure the cord and keep it from tangling. All though this didn't get my hair stick straight, I could tell the difference. The biggest difference was in the amount of frizz I could visibly see. Another perk to the brush is the next day, your hair is extremely soft still! I would recommend this brush more to someone who wants to decrease frizz and keep their hair healthier by not using a true flat iron. It will not dry your hair out as much as a flat iron will.
